The Seed Library is a free program committed to increasing our ability to feed ourselves wholesome food by offering seeds and education. Through the time-honored tradition of seed saving, we celebrate biodiversity, nurture locally adapted plant varieties, and foster community resilience, self-reliance and a culture of sharing.

The Seed Library is located on the Main Floor of the Central Library near the Magazine/Reading area.

The process is simple:

  1. Sign up for a membership. (Membership form)
  2. Choose your free seeds. (Seed Saving Guide)
  3. Take them home and plant!

If you harvest seeds, bring some back to the Library at the end of your growing season to share for next year's planting season. (Envelope Template to transport seeds)

This project was made possible by the “Plant a Seed to Read” Inspiration Grant with support from Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding.
